4th of July

It's finally warm enough for the boats! Our family has loved boating for a very long time, so we always spend more time together during the warmest part of the summer, playing in the water. This year our first day out was the Saturday before the 4th, just a quick test run at Jensen's Grove with a few of us. For the 4th, most of us met at Blacktail (our fave spot!) for a day on the water.

Jen and Boyd were not able to make it with their families, so we had Mom & Dad, Sean, Kandice & Amy (and families!). Plenty of people to keep us busy for the day! Our kids are sort of the "second generation" of grandkids for Mom & Dad, being so much younger than most of Jen and Boyd's kids. This year they are starting to show how much they are growing up, and they were a ton of fun in the boat! All but the babies had turns in the tube, some riding with cousins, Hallie getting some rides on her own. The babies were spoiled by Grandma and Grandpa, who stayed on shore with them most of the day.

Brett and Jake spent some time on the wakeboard. But since I sent Mom on the boat for that trip and stayed with babies, I didn't get any pictures. Thus, the Sean Shrine below. :-)
